My Sassy Girlfriend - Toh Pei En

I bet a lot of my peeps out there had watched this Korean Show titled ' My Sassy Girlfriend '. if you didnt manage to watch this movie, let me just give you a short rundown of it's plot. it depicts of how a boyfriend always got bullied and frightened by his girlfriend in the most domineering manner. the way the boyfriend was bullied was kinda hyperbolized excesssively but i still enjoyed it nonetheless.

today i would like to talked about my own sassy girlfriend. her name is Pei En and i addressed her as Erny in short. no, she is not the 'dearie' i had mentioned previously in my blog entries but rather the other girlfriend that i had. yes, i hve 2 girlfriends. sic. (laughing hysterically!) alrite my friends, i'm not trying to break the law here by practising bigamy in the near future nor am i the crook casanova fooling around with the hearts of 2 ladies. just read on and find out.

Erny is the younger sister of my dearie and i had know her for as long as i have known my dearie. we shared a lot of common traits thus we kinda clicked pretty well with each other. we love vocalizing our favourite songs at KTVs, we love to read (though the stuff i prefer to read are pretty much junkie) and we love to watch movies!! that is the reason why she is usually the one to accompany me to watch the movies that i like.

Erny, like any other adolescence teenager out there, idolises pin-up actors and singers. when she was younger, she loved her Jolin Tsai. she would sing her songs and buy her CDs and DVDs. things are almost the same now. the only difference is that now she may swoon over if she sees her Wang Lee Hom and Lin Feng in person. she may go absolutely bonkers if any of these 2 guys marry her i presume. she also loves her Harry Porters and she has the whole DVD collection to date. not to mention her favourite Twilight series and of course she read the books as well which kinda explains her intellectual capacity and why she can do well in her recent 'A' levels. when she takes her public transport, she also likes to blast her Taylor Swifts in her 'little green apple' with ample savage too. when she is free, you will see her surfing her youtube, facebook and msn-ing her friends.

My endearing Erny has a lot of natural endowments as well other than excelling in academic results as she has an innate musical talent waiting to be flourish and trived too! she can play a hosts of musical instruments namely the violin, organ and 'Gu Zhen' and she has a predilection for playing Beethoven at home often but i must admit sometimes it can get a bit irritating especially when she goes a bit 'off-tune' literally. but when it comes to her 'Gu Zhen' (which happens to be her forte), anyone will be in awe at the kind of music she can call forth in an instance!

so why do i call Erny my sassy girlfriend? well, it is because i always got 'bullied' by her. haha! she is the only woman (other than my other dearie) whom i can never say no to. its not like she always make incongruous and obnoxious requests but rather it's me who always can't seem to find myself denying her postulations. YES, i have a soft spot for Erny since she was young . guess this is gonna stick with me for life. in retrospect, i can't help but still treat her as the small little girl i got to know for the very first time 8 years ago and it makes me feel so old at times. but of course, for as long as i live, this 'pseudo' girlfriend of mine will always have a place in my heart coz i will always give in to her and love her to bits.

3 Of My Favourite And Hated Movies Of All Time

There are really not much things you can do in Singapore over a weekend, especially when you have a sun-shy lady as a girlfriend. i couldnt enjoy too much fun in the sun thus activities like cycling, canoeing or swimming are kinda proscribed. well, i don't like puntin my hard earned money on poker cards too thus the allure of the 2 mega licensed gambling dens don't invoke the slightest interest from me. i'm not some millionaire with tonnes of cash to dispose either so the only place you might see me taking a gamble with my luck will be at a neighborhood 4D outlet. shopping is my dearie's faourite auxilary activity but definitely not my avocation. spending money on apparels acts as a perfect anti-stress remedy for my dear after a nerve biting week in the office. for a young lad like me, i resort to doing activities over the weekends that doesn't cost a lot of money and my dearie doesn't have to worry about getting tanned after a load of 'indecent' exposure in the sun. one of my favourite hobbies will be watching movies!

i have watched my fair share of screenplays in the theatres and i thoroughly enjoyed some of them but there were a few i would have poured scorn on too. there were movies i enjoyed via DVDs as well. today i would like to compile a list of my top 3 favourite movies of all time and my top 3 most hated shows too. ok, let the shows begin.

breathtaking scenes of man who were well-endowed, brawny and have faces that conform to ideals of form and proportions battling atrociously ugly villians. who can forget how the blood were splattered, bones shattered and extremities mangled when our heros fought against the massive Persian army. one of the reasons why i love this show is also because i'm a big fan of the God Of War game series on the playstation too. when it comes to physical mutilation played on the big screen, i personally feel 300 is the next best thing after Saving Private Ryan.

I managed to catch this show on DVD only when it was recommended to me by a friend of mine. he told me that this is yet Will Smith's greatest and best work ever. i couldn't agree more. this movie tells the true life story of how a father work his way to providng a good life for his only son. it didnt fail to stir the deepest emotions within me. i was absolutely touched by the father and son's performance. it goes to show how many bounderies human can break with love.
okok! So what if i like Titanic?! this show is melancholic and sombre, the perfect concoction for some tear-duct breaking effects from ladies. so why the hell is a guy sworning over such a 'girly' show? ok, when this show was featured, i was only in secondary 2. during that time, Titanic was a MAJOR breakthrough! it encompassed a pair of lovely looking protagonists and a piquant ploy. everyone in my school back then were crazy over this show. all the girls wanted 'Jacks' for boyfriends and all the boys wanted to look like Leonardo.

hmmm... so much for my favourite shows. lets take a look at the suckiest movies i had ever watched.

i can't really remember wat the plot is all about in this movie. the only thing i remembered was the scene of a guy raping a woman and shooting her dead when she was trying to swim over a lake to escape. the rape scene was sick to the stomach and i took off after watching the show for half an hour. yes, i'm a sissy. i enjoy war movies featuring man tearing each other apart but couldn't abide to the image of a man tearing the bra and panties of a woman. btw, this is the only movie in my life which i didnt finish watching.

don't let the 3D thingy in this movie fool you. if you are thinking Avatar's 3D here, you will be in for a shock! this movie had no plot and the 3D glasses makes you woozy and vertiginous! even my dearie's kid sister detests this movie intensively!

i am a BIG fan of the resident evil gaming series on the playstation. beautiful casts, shuddery looking, fleah eating zombies and exciting Boss fights towards the end of the show. (especially the Nemesis in the game. ultra cool and he still gives me the chills whenever i think of him). the movie? nothing like what the game had offered. enough said.

So here goes the list of my top 3 favourite and hated list. generally, most of the shows i had watched were pretty alright, save for a couple of them which almost made me puked. Looking forward to another year of wonderful movies to watch. As long as my darling insist on avoiding the sun, you will find me in the comfort of the air-conditioned hall, munching away my popcorns and nachos.

I Am A Yellow Skin Chinese

2 things kinda struck me pretty heavily yesterday and today. i was watching 'The Pacific' via online video streaming yesterday and certain orations in the show hit me first. FYI, 'The Pacific' is a mini series about US marines doing a replica of the world war 2 situation along some derelict and god-forsaken islands near northern Australia, fighting off tonnes of Japanese adversaries who only knew how to throw their body towards the Americans' line of fire. i find it funny as the Americans in the show like to call the Japanese 'yellow skin rats'.

the second 'blow' came during noon today when i managed to catch Ip Man 2 at AMK hub with my dearie. i believed i do not need to put forth the plot of the show to you coz you guys should check out the show yourselves. i must say i don't spend my money on mandarin productions on the big screen except for the Ip Man series. the movie was simply awesome and it filled me with subliminal emotions throughout the entire screenplay. In Ip Man 2, the last fight depicts a fight between a British boxer against Mr Ip Man. in the show, the Briton never failed to find time to sprout numerous villifications against the chinese people in the show.

both issues set me thinking if caucasians really despise asians be it whether they are koreans, japanese or chinese? i had my 'brushes' with caucasians in Singapore and other parts of the world as well. i remembered my first 'ugly' incidence involved a bald white man with his chinese girlfriend. his chinese girlfriend impeached my friend of staring at her. my buddy sweared that he never did nor will he ever do it because the gal looked just like an apparition of a nightmare he had when he was a kid. the highlight of the confrontation happened when the white man threatened to sue my friend by flashing his gold plated credit card it front of him. (to tell my friend that he is rich and he can afford a lawyer to sue him)

i recalled my trip to Australia as well when i was around 17 years old. i was waiting to cross the road somewhere in Melbourne with a friend of mine. we were speaking in english when this white man walked up to me and asked, ' where are you from?' i replied that we hailed from the sunny island of Singapore and he smugged, ' i didnt know you guys could speak english' his reply left 2 adolescence teenager befuddled but we find his statement mirthful as well. it took me 2 seconds of response time to say this to him, ' yes sir, i can speak and write in english and i'm pretty darn sure that i can accomplish both better than you do.'

it is saddening to know that there are actually caucasians out there who still feels that asians are ignorant, nescient and conspicuously and tastelessly indecent. so much to the fact that these group of people doesn't offer respect to their asian counter-parts during work or not. of course, i am not going to pigeonhole all caucasians as the majority of them i encountered and befriended weren't do this to me so to speak. at the very least, i must say that there are a lot of things we can learn and benefit from each other. it should not be the skin colour or tone that set the differences between us, rather it should be how we dignified each other as equal human beings. i don't endorse racism and i hope everyone out there do not acquire that school of thought too.

alright, so much for my cognition and noesis, time for episode 7 of 'The Pacific' before i sleep tonight.
